Currently under construction - Burj Dubai is set to be the most prestigeous square mile of real estate on the planet! At its centrepiece stands the iconic Burj Dubai Tower, set to be the worlds tallest building upon completion in March 2009.

This mammoth structure will be mostly residential; but will also be home to the worlds highest observation deck at a vertigo inducing 517m high, as well as the worlds first 6 star rated Armarni Hotel. Shadowed by the tower itself, across a massive man made lake will be home to the 'Supertall' Lake Hotel, the worlds largest ever shopping mall, over 70 highrise buildings and a beautiful 'old town' style village. 17lbs baby girl by birth

A Russian mother has given birth to a 17lbs (7.75 kg) baby girl.

Baby Nadia is 42-year-old Tatiana Khalina's 12th child but even she could never have imagined the size of her new-born.

Tatiana gave birth by Caesarean section at a maternity clinic in Aleisk, a small town in southern Siberia.

A hospital spokeswoman said the birth, 10 days ago, went smoothly and both the mother and the child were fine. Via

Cape Stolbchaty on Kunashir Island - Destination:Russia

We will watch more wonders of Nature at Stolbchaty Cape. It seems that Nature itself tried to adorn this place with fantastic formations: volcanic activity has turned nearby rocks into "stone organ". The surface of the cape is covered with stark and cracked lava, amazingly looking like a cobblestone pavement.

Facing the coast of Japan, Cape Stolbchaty shows you its striking cliffs.

Iturup, is the other island in the Kuriles which can be reached by air from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. It is the largest Kurile Island and belongs to the Kurilsky District. It consists of volcanic massifs and mountain ranges. Its high cliffs are precipitous. The most prominent peaks are The Stokap Mountain (1634 m) and Bogdan Khmelknitsy (1589 m). Active volcanoes are Atsunupuri and Berutaruba situated in the south of the island.

A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment.

Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, and held up a handwritten sign that said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER."

The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how he had done it.

"I knew it had to be the Microsoft Building, because they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer."

For those who don't know what is a Limousine,
An early dictionary defined "limousine" as an auto with a permanently enclosed compartment for 3-5, with a roof projecting over a front driver's seat. However, modern dictionaries drop the separate compartment idea and refer to limousines as large luxury autos, often chauffeur-driven. Some have a movable division window between the driver and passenger compartments, but that isn't a requirement.

Astonishing Sand Art

Sand World Travemünde

For the fifth year, Travemünde is hosting Sand World, a festival dedicated to sand sculptures. Running from 6 July through 2 September 2007 this year’s theme is the history of mankind from the Stone Age through such technical achievements as space travel, not forgetting the beaux arts of literature and music.

75 so-called carvers (no, not skiing this time) are sculpting their oeuvres in Travemünde’s hard-packed sand renowned for its angular structure that will hold any carved shape for weeks on end. Altogether, 9000 tons of sand will be used for sculptures up to 12 m high over a surface of 10000 sqm.

And if looking is not enough: The professional sculptors offer two-hours workshops on the art of sand-carving. There are special children’s programs and guided tours and, de rigueur for any German venue, food and drink stands to make your special visit to the beach a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Read @
