The exterior facade will be solar responsive and will include solar panels which, along with wind turbines, will generate electricity for the huge tower. Natural ventilation will be provided thanks to numerous strategically placed large atriums. The internal environment will also have dynamic enclosure panels slotted into the structural framing that will allow daylight to penetrate deep into the heart of the structure; the panels will also be controlled to modify temperature inside the building – closed in winter for extra warmth and opened in summer to allow natural ventilation.

Saddam's luxurious yacht on sale for 17 million pounds

|
0 COMMENTS
A 270 feet super-yacht, which was built for Saddam Hussein, is on sale for 17 million pounds in Paris.

Built by Danish shipbuilders for the late Iraqi dictator in 1981, this yacht was originally named "Qadissiyat Saddam", after a famous Arab victory over the Persians in 637 AD.

Now renamed "Ocean Breeze", this yacht is truly a floating palace, with a host of features that is a trademark of the luxuriant lifestyle of Saddam Hussein.

There are bathrooms with gold taps, Jacuzzis, steam rooms, hi-tech entertainment suites and games parlours, including table tennis and pool tables, and flat-screen TVs in almost every cabin.

With banquets in mind, there is silverware for 200 people. But as the yacht was intended for Saddam's private use, it can sleep only a relatively modest 28 people. There is a helicopter pad and a health clinic, complete with a mini-operating theatre.

Apart from that, it is decorated throughout with fine mahogany, gold, silver and marble, and was described by its builders as "lavish in every detail and very Arabic in style".

The place where Saddam Hussein lived, or rather, at least one of the places he lived

The Al Faw Palace (also known as the 'Water Palace') is located in Baghdad approximately 5km from the Baghdad International Airport, Iraq and was commissioned to be built by Saddam Hussein to commemorate the re-taking of the Al Faw Peninsula by Iraqi forces during the Iran-Iraq conflict.

The palace is situated on a former resort complex about 8 kilometers from the 'Green Zone', which is now referred to as the 'International Zone' or 'IZ' and the complex contains numerous villas and smaller palaces and is now one of the largest US/Coalition bases in Iraq (Camp Victory/ Camp Liberty).

Al Faw palace, once one of Saddam Hussein's 99 palaces. It was designed as a kind of corporate retreat, a relaxing playground for members of Saddam's political party who were rewarded for their loyalty and hard work with vacation time here.

What is the Hajj

|
0 COMMENTS
The Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam, which every adult Muslim must undertake at least once in their life if they can afford it and are physically able.

Every year about two million Muslims converge on Mecca - the holiest place in Islam - to take part in an event which combines piety and passion.

Many Muslims save for years in order to perform the pilgrimage. They often have to travel thousands of miles.

Then, once they arrive, they must brave vast crowds and the fierce heat of the desert as they perform the Hajj rituals.

In 2007, Hajj took place from December 17 to December 21.

Please Don't Try this at Home

He performed one of the most dangerous T-bone stunts: In the movie "Made in YU" by Miko Lazic, he hitted the ramp and the T-boned car with the speed of 90 mph, flied 150 feet long and 20 feet high, before the flaming car fell on the ground and tumbled couple of times. In his one and a half decade long career, Zeljko worked in 50 movies worldwide, some of them were: "The peacemaker" (1997), "Welcome to Sarajevo" (1997), "Gypsy magic" (1997), "The professional" (2001), "All invisible children" (2005), "We are not Angels 2" (2004), "Fade to Black" (2005), "Made in YU" (2004)...

There is one interesting fact that shows how much love and passion Zeljko had in this industry. He performed his last and the most dangerous stunt without earning anything from it, even though 5 days after the stunt he was supposed to go to UK and work as stunt coordinator in the movie "Outlaw". All the money he received from the sponsors, he invested in safety equipment and preparations for that stunt. He just wanted to perform the stunt which was his dream from the beginning. Unfortunately with tragic outcome, he managed to make his dream come true.

Sexy robots by Hajime Sorayama

Sunday, December 09, 2007 |
0 COMMENTS
Hajime Sorayama is a Japanese illustrator. He does ASFR drawings of realistic pin ups and erotic art and also draws robot women, cyborgs and other illustrations of humans and animals.

Soryama has been working independently as a freelance illustrator since 1972 and after graduating from art school in 1969, he has been perfecting his own superrealistic illustration techniques while simultaneously raising the level of skill and craftsmanship in the field to new heights.

Sexy robot

The "Sexy robot" released at the end of 70's, were born by combining the existing pinup art and robots with chrome body. The ideas that combined bondage, fetish, modern-primitive, biotechnology, and genetic manipulation were presented in the Gynoids released in the late 80's and in 90's, which reached the peak of his pinup art.

His first book "Sexy Robot" was published by Genko-sha in 1983 which made his robotic forms famous around the world. The art departments of universities often showed his techniques to their students and ultimately, science and the corporate world took hold of Sorayama's designs.wikipedia
