Serena Williams took part in the first ever tennis match on water, together with second-ranked men's tennis player Rafael Nadal.

The event took place atop Miami's Gansevoort South Hotel overlooking South Beach on its first day of business. The custom-made court was constructed in the 110-foot swimming pool set in the Gansevoort's exclusive 22,000-square-foot rooftop retreat.
